Terms of Service

These terms govern your purchase and use of the HostaPRO software and website. Please read them carefully.

Effective: 1 March 2026

Acceptance of terms

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using HostaPRO, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the software.

These Terms apply to all versions of HostaPRO (Essential, Business, and Business Plus) and to your use of the hostaproapp.com website.

License grant

Subject to these Terms and payment of the applicable license fee, HostaPRO grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on the number of devices permitted by your plan.

Essential: one device, during the active subscription period.

Business: one device, perpetual license.

Business Plus: multiple devices at your property, perpetual license.

This license is for your own internal business use at the property registered to your account. You may not sublicense, sell, resell, or otherwise distribute the software.

Restrictions

You may not: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software; remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels; use the software to develop a competing product; redistribute or resell the software or license keys; or share your license key with third parties outside your property's staff.

License activation

The software requires activation with a valid license key. Activation links your license to a hardware fingerprint. If you change hardware, contact support to transfer your license. Each license key may only be active on the permitted number of devices at any given time.

Attempting to activate the same key on more devices than permitted may result in deactivation of the license.

Essential plan renewal

The Essential plan is billed annually. At the end of each billing period, your license must be renewed to continue receiving software updates and access to new features. The software will continue to function on the last installed version after expiry, but a license warning will be displayed.

HostaPRO reserves the right to change the renewal price with 30 days' notice to the registered email address.

Payment and refunds

All prices are listed in USD. Payment is processed securely through our payment provider. HostaPRO does not store your credit card details.

One-time licenses (Business and Business Plus) are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not activated the license key. Activated licenses are non-refundable.

Annual Essential renewals are non-refundable after the renewal date. Upgrade credits may be issued at our discretion.

Software updates

Active Essential plan holders and perpetual license holders receive software updates for the duration of their active subscription or for a minimum of 2 years from purchase date for perpetual licenses, whichever is applicable.

Updates are delivered through the application's built-in update check or as downloadable installers from your account page. HostaPRO reserves the right to change update delivery methods.

Your data

All operational data you create within HostaPRO is stored locally on your device. HostaPRO makes no claim of ownership over your data.

You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data. HostaPRO shall not be liable for any data loss resulting from hardware failure, software malfunction, or any other cause.

Disclaimer of warranties

The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

HostaPRO does not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted, that defects will be corrected, or that the software is free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HostaPRO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

In no event shall HostaPRO's total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid for your license in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

HostaPRO may terminate your license immediately if you breach any provision of these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software and destroy all copies.

Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that accrued prior to termination. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and disclaimers) will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.

Changes to these terms

HostaPRO reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify registered licensees by email at least 14 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the software after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
